Edition 3 | MAY 2026

We are officially in spring, and like clockwork, businesses are waking up and reaching out. There is something about this season that makes everything feel a little more urgent, like suddenly you are wondering if your marketing is behind, if your website is still pulling its weight, or if it is time to finally make sense of AI. That is exactly why this time of year matters. It is when fresh eyes meet fresh momentum, and when the right marketing moves can set the tone for everything ahead. Consider this your monthly check-in with the team in your corner, here to help you spot what matters and make smarter moves.
Marketing Move of the Month:
Is Your Homepage Working Hard Enough?
Your homepage has one job: to help people quickly understand who you are, what you do, and why they should stay.
Yet one of the most common challenges we see is businesses driving traffic to websites that no longer reflect what they do best. Outdated messaging, unclear calls-to-action, and confusing layouts can quietly cost valuable opportunities before a conversation even begins.
This month, take five minutes to review your homepage through the eyes of a first-time visitor and ask:
Is it immediately clear what your business offers?
Is your call-to-action easy to find?
Would someone know exactly what to do next?
If the answers aren’t immediately clear, your homepage could be turning potential customers away before they even consider reaching out.
If yours could use a refresh, we have the team that can transform it to engage visitors longer, guide them to act and bring in more qualified inquiries.

AI Marketing Is Moving Fast. The Real Risk Is Falling Behind Without Understanding It.
Right now, one of the biggest marketing gaps we are seeing is not whether businesses are using AI, it is whether they understand how to use it well.
For many leaders, AI feels like a mix of pressure and uncertainty. There is curiosity, but also hesitation: Will it replace human creativity? Can it really help without making your brand sound robotic? Where does it actually fit into everyday marketing?
The businesses gaining momentum are not using AI to replace people. They are using it to work smarter, strengthen consistency, speed up research, and improve how they connect with customers, while still relying on human insight to guide the strategy.
That balance is quickly becoming a competitive advantage, and it is exactly why this topic deserves attention now.
If AI still feels more confusing than clear, our latest Cinch Academy Podcast episode offers practical insight into how to make it work for your marketing.
Campus To Community: Where Future Marketers Meet Real World Challenge

What happens when emerging marketers get the chance to work on campaigns that truly matter? Fresh ideas, real strategy, and the kind of experience that helps shape future careers.
Through Campus to Community, Cinch Communications partnered with Red Deer Polytechnic in Alberta to mentor marketing students as they developed strategic campaigns for the Red Deer Christmas Bureau Society, a nonprofit that supports families in need during the holiday season.
Over the semester, four student teams created thoughtful marketing plans designed to strengthen awareness and engagement for the organization, culminating in final presentations to a judging panel as part of the program’s inspiring wrap-up.
Congratulations to Group 3 for winning the top score, and to every student whose creativity, insight, and hard work made this year’s program such a success.
